Applied Behavior Analysis
Effective treatment for children with behavior issues and those on the Autism Spectrum
What is Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)?
Applied Behavior Analysis is a therapy discipline that utilizes the scientific method to help understand and improve behavior. Through positive reinforcement, and evidence-based techniques, our ABA Therapy program can benefit children with Autism and other related disorders.
Autism refers to a broad range of conditions that often appear early in life, generally before the age of three, and is often characterized by difficulties with social interaction, communication, and behavior. Autism now affects more than one in sixty-eight Americans, but it is possible for individuals on the spectrum to lead very normal, healthy lives.
What Makes Us Different?
To us, you're not a number; you're family. Our small, family-centered program gives you confidence that you're receiving hands-on, individualized attention. In addition, our rigorous hiring process means that your behavior therapist is caring, experienced, and has been selected from a wide pool of applicants. We strive to hold ourselves to a higher standard than what is regulated by the regulatory boards, and we know you'll see the difference.
How does ABA Therapy work?
Our behavioral services are deeply rooted in the science of Behavior Analysis. The behavioral procedures and interventions that we implement are evidence-based and have undergone extensive research to prove their efficacy. There are a multitude of evidence-based tactics in the science of Behavior Analysis that can be implemented through child-led strategies and caregiver driven approaches. Our Behavior Analysts are thoroughly trained to identify family needs and conduct functional behavior assessments with the most up to date assessment tools. Our clinical team strives to coordinate with other professionals and evaluate your child’s prerequisite skills to identify the most appropriate interventions to implement.
Our approach to ABA Therapy
Our treatment is driven by accountability through the collection of data that measures your child’s responses to treatment. The data is evaluated by a qualified professional such as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst that is assigned to supervise regularly to ensure our process is effective and progressing effectively.
In addition, we strive to collaborate with other professionals to ensure consistency across all areas of a child’s support team. Research has shown that multi-disciplinary and holistic programs lead to more efficacious outcomes for children. Our BCBAs, Speech-Language Pathologists, and Occupational Therapists work closely together to ensure our clients are progressing and meeting their individual and family goals.
